As of December 24, 2024, there have been no reports indicating that Michigan Wolverines head coach Jim Harbaugh has signed a new contract making him the highest-paid coach in NCAA history. In February 2022, Harbaugh signed a five-year contract extension with Michigan, reportedly worth $7.63 million annually.
While Harbaugh’s current contract is substantial, it does not surpass the record-breaking deals of other NCAA coaches. For instance, in December 2021, Mario Cristobal signed a 10-year, $80 million contract with the Miami Hurricanes, positioning him among the highest-paid coaches in college football.
Therefore, as of now, Jim Harbaugh’s contract does not make him the highest-paid coach in NCAA history.
