The Tennessee Volunteers received a major boost for the 2025 season as their starting quarterback and three other key players withdrew from the transfer portal, opting to stay with the program. Despite being offered lucrative NIL deals from other schools, these athletes chose to remain loyal to Tennessee and its promising future.
The quarterback, a driving force behind the Volunteers’ high-octane offense, expressed his commitment, saying, “Tennessee is where I want to finish my college career. We’re building something special here, and I’m excited to help lead this team to new heights.” Alongside him, a standout wide receiver and two defensive playmakers also decided to stay, rejecting big-money offers elsewhere.
Head coach Josh Heupel praised their decision, stating, “These players are the foundation of our program. Their loyalty and belief in what we’re building here speaks volumes about their character and commitment to the Tennessee Volunteers.”
