As of December 30, 2024, there have been no reports indicating that the head coach of the Louisville Cardinals has withdrawn from coaching duties due to health reasons. The most recent significant coaching change occurred in March 2024, when the university parted ways with men’s basketball head coach Kenny Payne following a challenging season.
In the interim, Pat Kelsey, formerly of the College of Charleston, was appointed as the new head coach for the Louisville men’s basketball team.
