Ole Miss quarterback Jaxson Dart has officially declared for the 2025 NFL Draft, marking the end of an impressive collegiate career in Oxford. Dart’s announcement comes immediately after a standout season in which he solidified himself as one of the top quarterbacks in the nation.
“Playing at Ole Miss has been the greatest honor of my life,” Dart shared in a statement. “I’m forever grateful to my coaches, teammates, and the amazing Rebel fans who have supported me every step of the way. It’s time to take the next step in my journey and pursue my dream of playing in the NFL.”
Dart, who transferred to Ole Miss from USC, developed into a dynamic playmaker under head coach Lane Kiffin. Known for his strong arm, mobility, and leadership on and off the field, Dart led the Rebels to multiple marquee wins during his tenure, including thrilling performances against SEC powerhouses.
In 2024, Dart posted career-best numbers, throwing for over 3,500 yards and 30 touchdowns while rushing for nearly 500 yards and five scores. His ability to extend plays and make clutch throws in critical moments made him a fan favorite and a respected leader in the locker room.
NFL scouts are already projecting Dart as a potential early-round pick, citing his physical tools, competitiveness, and experience in Kiffin’s pro-style offense.
With Dart’s departure, Ole Miss will now turn its attention to finding his successor, but his legacy as one of the program’s most electrifying quarterbacks will undoubtedly endure. Rebel fans will eagerly await Draft Day to see where their star lands at the next level.
