
Ohio State Buckeyes head coach Ryan Day has strategically enhanced his coaching staff by incorporating several seasoned professionals, aiming to strengthen the team’s performance in the upcoming season.
Notably, Chip Kelly, former head coach at UCLA, has joined the Buckeyes as the offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach. Kelly’s extensive experience includes head coaching positions with the Philadelphia Eagles and San Francisco 49ers in the NFL, as well as a successful tenure at the University of Oregon. His innovative offensive strategies are anticipated to significantly bolster Ohio State’s offensive playbook.
In addition, Matt Guerrieri has been appointed as the safeties coach. Guerrieri previously served as the co-defensive coordinator and safeties coach at Indiana University, bringing valuable defensive expertise to the Buckeyes.
Furthermore, Carlos Locklyn has taken on the role of running backs coach. Locklyn joins from the University of Oregon, where he developed a reputation for effectively mentoring running backs and enhancing rushing offenses.
