Baltimore Ravens have made significant moves in the 2024 NFL offseason, securing Justin Madubuike with a long-term contract and adding Derrick Henry to bolster the backfield. Despite these notable acquisitions, the Ravens have encountered several roster deficiencies.
Departures include Patrick Queen and Geno Stone from the defense, along with offensive linemen Morgan Moses, Kevin Zeitler, and John Simpson. Additionally, Odell Beckham Jr. and Gus Edwards are no longer part of the offensive lineup.
While the Ravens possess championship potential with Lamar Jackson’s performance and Henry’s integration into the team, evident gaps exist. Although the defense boasts stars like Roquan Smith and Kyle Hamilton, addressing these gaps is imperative.
The Ravens must prioritize three key areas before the offseason concludes. First, they require a deep-threat wide receiver to complement their offensive strategy. With options like Tyler Boyd, Michael Gallup, and Josh Reynolds available in free agency, the Ravens have opportunities to enhance their receiving corps.
Furthermore, targeting standout receivers in the upcoming NFL Draft could fortify the team’s offensive capabilities. To remain competitive in the AFC, especially against high-scoring teams like Kansas City and Cincinnati, the Ravens cannot afford to enter matchups under-equipped in the passing game.
