
Following their victories in the Rileys Amateur Qualifiers last weekend, Enson Walker, Ashley Coleman, Harry Gregory, and Harry Lane have qualified for the 2024 UK Open.
The 16 Rileys Amateur Qualifiers competing in the 160-player tournament at Butlin’s Minehead Resort on March 1-3 will include the foursome.
Teenage prospect Walker won the Saturday finale handily, 5-1, over Ryan Hawkes after advancing through a 98-player field in Solihull to guarantee his broadcast debut.
Along with Luke Littler, the runner-up in the World Championship, the 17-year-old will be among the youngest contenders at this year’s event. A little over a week ago, he demonstrated his abilities with a nine-darter on the Winmau Challenge Tour.
Coleman, who participated in the UK Qualifying School Final Stage earlier this month, advanced to the Minehead after winning the Rileys Norwich Qualifier on Saturday.
After advancing through three deciding-leg matchups to secure his spot in the championship match on Saturday, the 26-year-old defeated Brandon Western 5-1 to guarantee his spot in the first-ever PDC televised event.
Gregory, a former runner-up in the JDC World Championship, will also make his debut at the UK Open in March after winning the Rileys Liverpool Qualifier on Sunday.
The 18-year-old put an end to the match by crushing Lee Palfreyman, who placed in the final 32 of the 2013 UK Open, 5-1.
In the meantime, Lane—a graduate of the Winmau Challenge Tour—confirmed his return to the UK Open by winning the Rileys London Victoria Qualifier for the second year in a row.
Walker, Coleman, Gregory, and Lane will be joined in Minehead by David Sumner, a rookie, and Johnny Haines, a past World Championship qualifier who won the first round of qualifying on January 20–21.
On February 3–4, the Rileys Amateur Qualifiers will resume. Rileys clubs in Aberdeen, Chorlton, and Harlow will host additional knockout rounds.
All players over 16 without a PDC Tour Card are eligible to enter, and entries are accessible through Rileys’ website for a fee of £10.The day before a qualifying event, at 1700 GMT, online entries will close.
