NEWS REPORT:3 Late Round Players For The Cowboys In 2024 Draft

Three Cowboys late-round picks in the 2024 draft

Next week at this time, we will get an idea of the composition of the Cowboys draft class. Given how much the team sacrificed in free agency, we can all agree that those first few picks are crucial. If they hope to succeed in 2024, they must make all three of their top-100 selections. However, Dallas’s roster flaws and lack of draft resources make their late-round picks equally significant.

None of the Cowboys draft class’s picks had much success in 2023.

The player who saw the most playing time in the latter rounds was running back Deuce Vaughn, who only averaged 1.7 yards per carry. The Cowboys need to see more from the back half of their draft class in 2024, as there are a lot of voids in their roster and a lot at stake. Dallas has performed admirably in the later rounds in prior years. From 2020 to the present, DaRon Bland, Damone Clark, Jake Ferguson, and Tyler Biadasz have all been selected in the fourth round or later.

The Cowboys need to resume their level of success in the draft. Fortunately for them, there is a plenty of excellent late-round talent in this selection, and it appears that the organization has recognized that. As we approach “Draft Week,” let’s examine a few of those possibilities.

Rasheen Ali, Marshall RB

The state of the Cowboys running back situation is undoubtedly bad.

However, if they don’t select at least one player in the 2024 draft, they will not have a running game, and it appears that the scouts are aware of this.
