One of the few clubs in the league that regularly holds Foundations, Balls, and Galas both in the regular season and the offseason is the Las Vegas Raiders. The Silver and Black Gala took place on Saturday, March 30. It was the most recent event.
They regularly support worthy projects by giving back to the community and other foundations. The goal of the Silver and Black Gala is to support and uplift those who are experiencing mental health problems.
The Raiders held this Gala for the first time this year.
You could have noticed head coach Antonio Pierce performing a song on stage at this Gala. You read correctly: the personification of Raider culture was being a little wild. It’s totally acceptable though, as I’m sure he acts the same way in the locker room or behind closed doors.
Pierce was on stage singing My Girl by The Tempatations. Only, he put his own little spin on it all. Instead of singing the “my girl, my girl” part, he would sing “Raiders, Raiders.”
Here, just take a look for yourself if you don’t believe me: https://twitter.com/theleviedwards/status/1774303254207434782?t=VW5t_JyeY_I1JhFIzIc36g&s=19
It’s pretty funny, but also, when you think of what the Gala is for and look at what Pierce is doing at a Gala like that for mental health, I’m sure a lot of people appreciate it. He sure knows how to put a smile on your face
