The Sydney Roosters SG Ball team bravely lost to the Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs after an exciting semifinal match.

Champions League | Roosters surpassed by Bulldogs
Bulldogs of Canterbury-Bankstown defeat Sydney Roosters 22 to 28.
In their semi-final encounter on Saturday afternoon at Henson Park, the Sydney Roosters SG Ball team played a thrilling battle against the Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs, but their late charge was painfully unsuccessful.
After two weeks off, the Tricolours had a poor start. The Bulldogs used their momentum from last week’s success to lead 16–6 at the half. Tyreece Tait, a winger, scored late in the game to give the Roosters some advantage as the teams went to the half.
Jake Elliott, a five-eighth, scored minutes after play resumed to help the Red, White, and Blue rally closer to the victory. But Canterbury answered with two fast tries as the game entered the third quarter.
With Tait and his center Cooper Toy, the Roosters surged down their left edge to answer in kind, but time ultimately proved to be the toughest impediment for the team, as the final score was 28-22 in favor of their opponents.
The Sydney Roosters would want to extend their congratulations to the whole 2024 SG Ball team for a tremendous season.
