Reynolds and Arthars out; Cartwright in frame

When Brisbane and Parramatta play at CommBank on Friday, the depth of both teams will be put to the test as both have been severely impacted by injuries. Adam Reynolds hurt his bicep during Friday’s game against the Roosters, and the Broncos will be without the captain for several months. Jesse Arthars, a winger, will also miss time due to a broken jaw.

With backup halfback Jock Madden also sidelined due to a pectoral injury, the Broncos’ performance in the upcoming weeks might have a significant effect on the remainder of the campaign. The Eels, who have just returned from a bye, will be hopeful that a week-long reset would help them get their season back on track after dropping their last four games.

In an effort to save Parramatta’s season, Brad Arthur is looking to the future as fullback Clint Gutherson (knee) and halfback Mitch Moses (foot) are both sidelined for the Eels.

Attack Stats

Without fullback Clint Gutherson, the Eels have dropped their last nine games. In their last four meetings versus the Eels, the Broncos have triumphed three times. In their last two contests, the Eels have given up 76 points. CommBank Stadium has seen four games at which the Broncos have only won one. Second-row player Bryce Cartwright of the Eels has scored six tries at CommBank Stadium in his last six games.
